NASA has cancelled its plans for an all-female spacewalk due to a lack of spacesuits that fit women astronauts. For real.
The walk was supposed to take place Friday, it’ll still happen but now with a man and one of the two women scheduled. Anne C. McClain, will have to stay back while a male astronaut will accompany Christina H. Koch.
Both McClain and Koch required medium spacesuit torso sections, and there is currently only one that is properly configured at the International Space Station
After the backlash online, NASA tried to clarify with a tweet explaining that it has more than one medium suit onboard — there just wasn’t enough time to fit and adjust that piece ahead of the spacewalk.
We’ve seen your tweets about spacesuit availability for Friday’s spacewalk. To clarify, we have more than 1 medium size spacesuit torso aboard, but to stay on schedule with @Space_Station upgrades, it’s safer & faster to change spacewalker assignments than reconfigure spacesuits. pic.twitter.com/tPisBHaF2p

A new $50 Million eSports arena will be built this summer in Philadelphia.
The upcoming Fusion Arena will feature 3,500 seats, making it the largest of its kind in the Western hemisphere.
The arena’s seating area will include two balcony bars, club seats, and exclusive suites. And nearly 10,000 square feet will be dedicated to a training facility, broadcast studio, and team offices.
Think esports aren’t “real” sports? Tell that to the $50 million arena to be built in South Philly for our local Overwatch League franchise.https://t.co/LclNnDMXsU
