Jeopardy! guy James Holzhauer won his 18th game last night, but only by $18. The second place finisher got $53,999, which is the highest non-winning total in the show’s history.

This was Holzhauer’s 18th win, and his total is up to $1,329,604.

Ken Jennings still has the record for most money won during regular play. He won $2.5 million during a 74-game winning streak in 2004. But if James keeps playing like this, he’ll surpass that in 34 games.

James says that Guitar Hero helped him master the Jeopardy buzzer, “I was always good at video games like Guitar Hero, which require the player to press buttons at precise times. Who knew it had a real-world application?”

Fishermen in Norway were astonished last week when they spotted a beluga whale wearing a harness, complete with mounts for a camera.

Some marine expert believe it was trained by the Russian military.

You know those famous statues of giant heads on Easter Island?

Apparently they’re getting damaged and could be in real danger, all because tourists ignore the rules to stay back, trample right over protected lands and graves, and walk right up to take selfies where they’re picking the statues’ noses.

One expert on tourism on Easter Island says, “I’m troubled by the lack of genuine tourist interest in the island and its people, it seems many wish only to insert themselves into history by taking a selfie.”
