Astronaut David Saint-Jacques became the fourth Canadian to complete a spacewalk Monday, accomplishing several tasks alongside NASA astronaut Anne McClain in about six-and-a-half hours before returning inside the International Space Station.
He’s the first Canadian to perform a spacewalk since 2007.
The other Canadian astronauts to have performed the feat are Dave Williams in 2007 (he’s got 3 total) Steve MacLean in 2006 and Chris Hadfield in 2001.
The tasks took the pair all over the station and included relocating a battery adaptor plate, upgrading the station’s wireless communication system and connecting jumper cables.
Check out these amazing highlights from @Astro_DavidS’s first spacewalk – the first for a CSA astronaut in 12 years! He and @AstroAnnimal performed maintenance tasks during the 6.5-hour spacewalk: https://t.co/L2rmg0WtNW. 🎥: NASA/CSA pic.twitter.com/iGlfoyVnrJ

Is there a candy collaboration coming? Here are some of the rumours:
- Reese’s is turning its cups blue.
- Reese’s is turning its cups into snowflake shapes.
- Kristen Bell is handing out Reese’s during Frozen 2 screenings.
- Reese’s is coming out with a new kind of frozen ice cream bar.
