Chatham-Kent Council is to offering FREE rides on the Beach Bus all weekend.

Seasonal Inter-Urban Transit Route S1 the “Beach Bus” serves Chatham, Erieau and Mitchell’s Bay with stops in Grande Pointe, Pain Court, Charing Cross and Blenheim. It operates every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday between 8am-9pm until Labour Day.

The Chatham-Kent Film Group‘s monthly movie screening will be Monday at Chatham Capitol Theatre. Two showings at 4 and 7.

The August movie is The Children Act.

Tickets are available for $10 prior to each screening. Screenings begin promptly at 4 & 7 – please arrive early.

It was announced this week that Brockville will be hosting the first ever Canadian Snowball Throwing Championships in September, with the world championship being held in Ottawa in 2020.

The Canadian championship will be on September 1st, the final day of the new Big River Festival that starts on August 23rd.

The Snolympiad will crown one man and one woman as champions, who will then move onto the World Snowball Throwing Championship in Ottawa.


National Mustard Day is tomorrow. And yesterday we told you that French’s has created a mustard ice cream, which they’ll serve tomorrow in New York City and L.A.

Now Oscar Mayer has fired back with their own mustard ice cream.

They just announced that they’re going to be selling ice cream sandwiches made with, “A hot dog-infused ice cream with real bits of candied hot dogs, served alongside spicy mustard ice cream.” And the “buns” are made out of cookies.

The Ice Dog Sandwiches are coming out later this month.
