September 20th is the 263rd day of the year. There are 102 days remaining until the end of the year.

Firefest is back in downtown Chatham this weekend.

The fun actually begins tonight in Thamesville. The firetrucks will be at Johnny Quests from 5:30-7 before parading through the town.

Tomorrow the rigs will be on display downtown from 10-4. Lots of kids activities, safety demos and the parade through Chatham at 4. Everything is free!

Check out the Firefest Facebook page for more info.

The first Play Rangers on the fall schedule happens tomorrow at Kingston Park.

Bring the family to join in the fun free activities from 1-3.

Go here to see the rest of the schedule.

The final Farmers Market of the season is Saturday in downtown Wallaceburg from 8-noon.

Stop by the old Liquidation World parking lot and enjoy a fresh selection of local fruits & veggies, cheese, breads, baked goods, honey and more.

The viral Area 51 raid is supposed to happen at 3am local time today, that would be 6am for us.

The viral sensation that was a joke then not a joke then a joke again then a music festival then nothing then maybe a smaller music festival is supposed to happen shortly.

Over two million people have RSVP’d. The Air Force has warned people not to trespass on Area 51 or any nearby testing and training grounds. The FBI is also monitoring the event.

If anything goes down, we’ll hear the reports soon enough. Unless the government doesn’t want us to. Then we’ll have to raid Area 51 to get the classified files about the raid of Area 51.

There’s a new wearable chair you can buy called the LEX chair.

It straps to your legs and butt and automatically folds out when you go to sit. You can preorder one for $400, and they ship in December.

The company behind it got it funded through Kickstarter last year.
