As of today, the speed limit on the 402 goes up to 110 km/h.

The pilot project on select highways begins today on the 402, the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) from St. Catharines to Hamilton, and Highway 417 from Ottawa/Gloucester to the Ontario/Quebec border.

This will mark the first time 400-series highway speed limits in Ontario have been adjusted since the 1970s when they were lowered from 113 km/h during an oil crisis.


Amazon is rolling out new celebrity voices for Alexa,they’re using new technology to give Alexa smoother, more natural-sounding speech patterns

Later this year the first celebrity voice will be Samuel L. Jackson. And yes, you can choose between clean and explicit versions.

It’ll cost 99 cents or $4.99 if you buy it after 2019. Amazon says more celebrities are coming in 2020, but there’s no word who yet.

Amazon is also rolling out a “frustration detection” feature that’ll determine when you’re getting frustrated with Alexa screwing up your requests, and try to apologize.


Mattel just launched a line of gender-neutral Barbie dolls called the Creatable World collection.

They say the dolls are free of labels. The dolls come with pants, skirts and long and short haired wigs.
