Elections Canada says a record 4.7 million people voted in advance polls.
Voters took advantage of longer hours at polling stations over Thanksgiving weekend, as advance polls across Canada saw a 29% increase compared to the 2015 federal election.
Elections Canada says the advance polling numbers are an estimate as not all the polls have reported yet. Election Day is on October 21st.

The Washington Nationals swept the St. Louis Cardinals, four games to none. They won the National League Championship and are on their way to their first World Series in franchise history.
That dates back to 2005, when they became the Nationals. Before that, they were the Montreal Expos, although that organization also struggled.
Meanwhile in the American League Championship Series, the Houston Astros beat the Yankees 4 to 1 last night. They’ll play Game 4 in New York tonight. Houston leads the series, two games to one.
