October 30th is the 303rd day of the year. There are 62 days remaining until the end of the year.

It’s Movie Night at the Capitol!

Come by the Chatham Capitol Theatre tonight at 7 to see Pet Sematary on the big screen.

$5 cash at the door, or flash your pass. Everyone is welcome. Concessions are available.

Tomorrow’s the day!

Stop by the CKSY studios (117 Keil Dr., Chatham) for the CKMORNINGS Trick or Treat Show!

Chris & Jen will be handing out candy and trick or treat bags in the lobby from 7-9am.

The NCAA voted unanimously yesterday to allow college athletes to make money from their name, image and likeness.

It’s unclear how significant this is, because no new rules have been drafted yet.

The NCAA said the athletes will be able to be compensated, “in a manner consistent with the collegiate model.” But the collegiate model doesn’t allow athletes to get paid. So, that’s basically a big gray area for now.

The NCAA said it wants the new rules to be in place by early 2021. So it’s a step forward, but it seems like there’s still a long way to go before college athletes get a share of the money.

The World Series will be decided tonight.

The Washington Nationals beat the Astros in game 6 last night, forcing Game 7 tonight in Houston.

Since there was a stolen base earlier in the series, Taco Bell is handing out tacos today between 2-6 with their Steal a Base, Steal a Taco promotion. U.S. only.

Facebook and Instagram just enacted some new community standards and they’re banning people from using, “sexual emojis or emoji strings.”

In other words: Don’t pair the eggplant emoji with the peach emoji anymore.

And if you do use those emojis, your account could get flagged and in some cases, you could get kicked off the sites.
