Parents with children enrolled at schools within the St. Clair Catholic District School Board or the Lambton-Kent District School Board should make child care arrangements in the event of a strike by support workers on Monday.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) gave five days notice on Wednesday that its members would go on strike October 7th if a collective agreement isn’t reached between the union and the province.

KISS will play a show next month in shark-infested waters off the coast of Australia.
Two boats will go out into the waters off the coast of South Australia, which is known for shark activity. KISS will be in one boat, in full makeup and costume. They’ll play a set of at least four songs.
On the other boat, the eight fans will be lowered beneath the surface into a viewing submarine, where they’ll listen to the show, and possible come face-to-face with some great whites.
Tickets go on sale October 14th, and they’re only 52 bucks. But they’re first come, first served and again, only eight are available. Try to get yours here.
