A car paint company called Axalta puts out a report each year on the most popular car colours. And white is #1 in North America for the 13th year in a row.
The last time the top choice wasn’t white or silver was 22 years ago in 1997, when the most popular color was green. But now only 1% of people say that’s their favourite.
The most popular colour in North America this year is white with 29% of the vote. Followed by black, 19%, gray, 17%, silver, 11%, blue, 10%, red, 9%, brown or beige, 2%, green, 1% and yellow or gold, 1%.
White was also #1 worldwide for the ninth year in a row. And it was the top choice in every region except Europe, where gray took the top spot.
The National Toy Hall of Fame has announced the three toys they’ll be inducting this year.
The three toys that got enough votes from the experts are: Matchbox cars, Magic: The Gathering cards and colouring books.
Magic: The Gathering cards debuted in 1993, which makes them the newest toy ever to make the Hall of Fame. Until now, the Nintendo Game Boy was the newest, it debuted in 1989.
There were nine other toys that were nominated this year but didn’t get enough votes to be inducted: Care Bears, the Fisher-Price Corn Popper, Jenga, He-Man, My Little Pony, Nerf guns, Risk, the top and the smartphone.
The three toys that were inducted last year were the Magic 8 Ball, the pinball machine, and Uno.
