NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter were killed in a tragic helicopter crash outside of L.A. yesterday morning, along with seven other people. Kobe was 41. Kobe and Gianna were traveling in Kobe’s private helicopter from their home in Orange County to Thousand Oaks, which is just north of L.A. They were headed to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy, where Gianna had a basketball game.
Kobe is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and three other daughters.
The investigation is still ongoing, but the weather may have been a factor. It was extremely foggy at the time of the crash.

There’s a bill in the Vermont House of Representatives right now that would let people use emojis on their license plates.
They would be the first U.S. state to allow them if the bill passes.
Vermont’s plan would let people choose from six emojis for their plates, but they didn’t say which ones would make the list.
Last year, Queensland, Australia became the first place in the world to allow emojis on license plates. The five emojis they allowed are: The “laugh out loud” face, the “wink” face, the “sunglasses” face, “heart eyes,” and the “smile” emoji.
As of right now there are no plans to allow emojis on Canadian license plates.
The Python Bowl has wrapped up in the Florida Everglades.
Snake hunters flocked to South Florida where Mike Kimmel won the grand prize for capturing eight snakes. He won an all-terrain vehicle. Tom Rahill won $4,000 for catching the biggest python at 12 feet, 7 inches.
Eighty Burmese pythons were caught in total, designed to raise awareness about the invasive species decimating the Everglades. Wildlife officials estimate the population may exceed 100,000. The big serpents have been devouring native mammal and bird populations.
