According to a new report from U-Haul, Ontario is the number one province to relocate to, as 19 of U-Haul’s Top 25 Canadian Growth Cities are actually in this province.
U-Haul published a report Wednesday showing the most popular internal migrant destinations in Canada. The list of “Growth Cities” are calculated by the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a city versus leaving it during a calendar year.
North Vancouver, BC is the top destination. Chatham is #10.
Although U-Haul migration trends do not correlate directly to population or economic growth, U-Haul says that growth data is an effective gauge of how well cities are attracting and maintaining residents.
There’s a new product for dogs at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas that supposedly reads their emotions and tells you how they’re feeling.
A Japanese company called Langualess just created a harness for dogs with a sensor that changes colour based on how the dog is feeling: Relaxed, excited, happy, interested, or stressed.
And the harness connects to an app on your phone, so you can track your dog’s moods over time.
The company says they figured out how to detect a dog’s emotions by studying heart rate patterns for dogs in different situations.
They’re already on sale in Japan for around $37.
And the award for ‘Most Pointless Gadget of CES 2020’ goes to this harness that supposedly tells you your dog’s mood. Even though dogs are pretty good at doing that themselves #ces2020 #langualesshttps://t.co/5BNmtxgoKb pic.twitter.com/3OWlT5AVJq

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced yesterday that they’re going to “step back” as senior members of the Royal Family.
They won’t renounce their fancy titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. They plan to continue honouring their duty to Queen and country, but will become financially independent and be able to live outside many of the constraints of royalty. The couple has an estimated worth of $45 million. Early rumours have them moving to Canada.
Sources say Harry and Meghan didn’t clear any of this with the family beforehand, and it threw them for a loop. And the response from Buckingham Palace kind of backs that up. They said, “Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”
The hashtag #Megxit was trending yesterday.
