Lambton Kent District Elementary Schools across C-K will be closed today and tomorrow.

The schools are closed today as part of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) will hold a rotating strike today and an Ontario-wide strike Tuesday.

All English public elementary schools closed in Chatham-Kent.


The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is hosting a Clinical Career Fair tomorrow.

The CKHA is accepting applications for registered nurses and registered practical nurses in medicine, critical care, and surgery programs. Applications will also be accepted for personal support workers, laboratory technologists, and diagnostic imaging technologists.

The Career Fair will take place from 2-5 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre.


Team Canada’s women’s National basketball team has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Summer Games.

Playing at the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Ostend, Belgium they went undefeated to secure a spot.

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton was a key contributor.

The roster won’t be finalized until just prior to the games.

Bud Light has sold out of heart-shaped boxes of beer for Valentine’s Day.

The red, heart-shaped box holds 12 ice cold beers and says “roses are red, Bud Light is blue”
