Mainstreet Credit Union will be at the Chatham Branch of Chatham-Kent Public Library on tonight at 6:30 to teach you how to protect yourself from identity theft. This is a free program, no registration required.

Protect your Identity and Prevent Fraud is part of the Adulting 101 program series at Chatham-Kent Public Library. This an opportunity for adults (16+) to come together and learn different life skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

Adulting 101 programs will take place on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 at the Chatham Branch Meeting Room.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association is holding a one-day walkout at all English Catholic school boards across Ontario today. All English Catholic Schools in Chatham-Kent are closed.

The Public elementary and secondary schools in the Lambton-Kent District School Board are also closed.

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario is planning a one-day strike for the Lambton Kent District School Board on Thursday.

The strike will go ahead if the union is unable to reach a collective agreement with the province.

All other schools are open.


Expect some delays if your favourite show is on tonight, The State of the Union Address will air at 9pm on all major networks.


The Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty will not face assault charges for allegedly punching a kid in the back during a photoshoot in December.

The googly-eyed, 7-foot-tall Philadelphia Flyers mascot did not commit any crime and will not be arrested for its alleged tussle with a young fan, police said Monday.
