It’s Movie Night at the Capitol!

Come by the Chatham Capitol Theatre tonight at 7 to see Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers, on the big screen.

$5 cash at the door, or flash your pass. Everyone is welcome. Concessions are available.

If you need to fuel up, hold off, later today prices are expected to drop 10 cents across the province.

Experts say many stations will be selling gas between 85.9 cents and 92.9 cents/litre. The lower prices should pop up this afternoon.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics torch lighting ceremony in ancient Olympia will be the first in more 35 years to be held without spectators. Organizers made the announcement to protect against the coronavirus.

Greece’s Olympic Committee said spectators would be excluded from both the dress rehearsal at the ancient site today and the widely broadcast ceremony on Thursday.

This is the first time since the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that the ceremony will be held without any spectators being at the ancient stadium. Only a few dozen representatives of the Tokyo Games from a group of about 150 will be allowed access to the ceremony.

The Big Mac is an institution: It’s two patties with an extra bun bottom in between. And it just got bigger and smaller.

McDonald’s just announced they’re going to be serving two alternative versions of the Big Mac for a limited time. The Little Mac is just one patty and no extra bun. And the Double Big Mac is four patties, two above the extra bun, two below.

This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has messed with the Big Mac. In 2017, they introduced the Mac Jr. and the Grand Mac for a limited time.

The new Double Big Mac and Little Mac go on sale today.
