Quarantine for Canadians returning from abroad is no longer a suggestion, it is mandatory.
The federal government has announced that anyone coming back to Canada from another country must self-isolate for 14 days upon their return. The Health Minister says the government is invoking the Quarantine Act to force returning travelers to self-isolate.
This week both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Doug Ford, demanded that people returning from abroad not stop at grocery stores on their way home, but rather go directly to their homes.
The quarantine order went into effect at midnight. This measure is not retroactive for people who have already returned. But beginning at midnight this morning, anyone who crossed the border will have their personal information recorded to help authorities monitor whether or not they are obeying the order.
Earlier this month, we asked all travellers to self-isolate when they returned to Canada. Today, we are making this isolation mandatory under the Quarantine Act to better protect our most vulnerable. pic.twitter.com/bKLdKh4mEu

You know those tiny white plastic “tables” that pizza places put in their pizza boxes to keep the cheese from smashing into the roof of the box?
Well IKEA and Pizza Hut have teamed up to turn those into actual tables.
They’ve made three-legged, white tables that look just like the ones in pizza boxes, except, they’re big enough to be real tables. But the only place to get them right now is at IKEA and Pizza Hut locations in Hong Kong.
It’s called the Säva.
