The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is asking people who don’t live along Erie Shore Drive to avoid the area to allow those that are being forced out of their homes room to move.

More than 75 volunteers have registered with the municipality to lend a hand packing, moving and filling sandbags.

If you would like to volunteer, contact the municipality at 519-360-1998 or email ckinfo@chatham-kent.ca.

Free moving boxes are still available for residents at the Erieau Fire Hall from 10-6.

The Maroons were unable to close out their first round series with Lasalle last night, losing 5-0.

Chatham still leads the Vipers 3 games to 2 in the best of 7 GOJHL first round series.

Game 6 is Saturday afternoon at 2 at Memorial Arena, and if needed Game 7 back in Lasalle on Sunday afternoon.

Twitter is testing its own version of Stories.

Twitter announced yesterday that Fleets will first start testing in Brazil before rolling out around the world.

Twitter is one of the last major social platforms to test out a Stories format. First popularized by Snapchat, you can now find a version of Stories across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, and others.

Unlike Tweets, Twitter’s new Fleets can’t receive Likes, Replies or Retweets. And they’ll disappear entirely after 24 hours.

Costco two-day delivery for groceries is now officially available across Canada.

On Monday, Costco announced that delivery is finally available nation wide.

Members can get their groceries delivered right to their door, if they’re within the qualified delivery areas. Non-perishable food, household supplies and other specifically marked items are eligible for two-day delivery. As an added bonus, if you spend more than $75 before tax, there is no delivery surcharge, which saves you even more money.

There is no service on weekends so you have to have your order placed by noon local time from Monday to Friday in order to have your groceries at your door within two business days.
