At Chatham-Kent Council tonight they’ll discuss the redesign of Victoria Ave in Chatham.

Some infrastructure projects are scheduled to be completed and a redesign of the roadway, sidewalks and removal of some trees. Local residents are not happy and Councillor Bondy is making a motion tonight to stop a lot of the changes.

The NBA has a plan to restart the 2019-20 regular season.

After reports came out over the last week detailing proposals about when and where the NBA might resume, the league announced Saturday morning that they are in talks with the Walt Disney Company about restarting the season at their expansive property outside of Orlando.

On Friday the NHL executives agreed to continue discussing a 24 team playoff to award the Stanley Cup. Many critical details still need to be ironed out.


Millions of 17-year cicadas will emerge from the ground this year.

Cicadas are large, cleared-winged insects that occur either annually or periodically. It’s a mystery as to why periodical cicadas only emerge every 13 or 17 years, but it’s been theorized that it’s to avoid syncing up with predator cycles.

Luckily, cicadas are harmless to humans. At most, the noise they make could become a nuisance.


Now we need to look out for aggressive rats!

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is telling people to beware of “unusual or aggressive” activity as rodents search for new food sources with many restaurants, bars and hotels closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some areas are reporting “an increase in rodent activity” because of the pandemic.
