Social gatherings of more than five people will continue to be banned in Ontario until June 9th.
The province extended its emergency orders again yesterday.
The orders have shut down outdoor playgrounds, play structures, public swimming pools, and bars and restaurants since March. Bars and restaurants are still able to serve patrons with curbside service and delivery.
Ontario reported 292 new cases of the novel coronavirus on yesterday, the second day in a row with a new daily case number in the 200’s. It’s the second straight day of cases below 300.
Previously less than 300 were reported May 10th and back in March.
Yesterday’s SpaceX space shuttle launch at the Kennedy Space Center didn’t end up happening because of the weather.
The launch was scrubbed at the very last minute. NASA and SpaceX say there are no issues with the vehicles.
The launch is now scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Amazon will delay Prime Day until September.
The 48 hour sale was supposed to be July 6-7.
Amazon is planning a Summer sale separate from their Prime Day. This would enable merchants to sell extra inventory they have stockpiled from the coronavirus lockdown.
Donald Trump plans to issue an executive order today for social media.
The President is upset because Twitter added a fact-checking label to his tweets on Tuesday. Trump says Twitter is trying to silence conservative voices.
