The province has lifted restrictions on short-term rentals of cottages, cabins, lodges, homes, condominiums, and bed and breakfasts.

Operators and guests should continue to practice physical distancing, wear a face covering when physical distancing is a challenge, and wash hands frequently.


The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority (LTVCA) has issued a standing flood watch for the Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair shorelines for the entire month of June.

The current water levels on Lake St. Clair is one centimetre above the all-time record.

Moderate winds, thunderstorms and/or heavy rains could cause flooding, erosion and shoreline damage on both lakes.


Health Canada is recalling some hand sanitizers because they contain industrial-grade ethanol.

The agency says industrial-grade ethanol contains chemicals that may not be approved for use in hand sanitizers. Frequent use of these products can result in dry skin, causing irritation or cracking.

The products on the recall list include Eltraderm Hand Sanitizer, Gel 700 Hand Sanitizer, Sanilabs Hand Sanitizer and Walker Emulsions Hand Sanitizer.

You should stop using the products immediately and return them to their local pharmacy for proper disposal.


For the first time ever, Time magazine put words in its iconic red border.

Those words are the names of 35 black people, whose deaths were the result of systemic racism.


San Francisco recently overhauled the Golden Gate Bridge to make it more aerodynamic, so it holds up against high winds better. But now it sometimes makes a high-pitched humming sound, which some people are not thrilled about. Apparently, you can hear it from up to three miles away.
