Environment Canada has ended an Air Quality Statement for Chatham-Kent.
Elevated ozone levels were expected yesterday into today, but that has now been lifted.
When air quality is poor, Environment Canada recommends those at risk reduce or reschedule any strenuous outdoor activities.
That doesn’t mean it won’t be hot today, with the humidex it should feel like 42.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is coming to Tilbury tomorrow for a drive thru COVID testing.
Tomorrow and Friday at the Tilbury arena from 10-6.
The health care team will perform the COVID-19 swab test while you are in your car.
Future drive thru testing will be done in Blenheim, Thamesville, Wheatley and Dresden.
The U.S. is considering banning Tik Tok.
Here’s why. TikTok is owned by ByteDance, which is a tech company in China. All companies in China are required to share their data with the government by law.
And there’s been some real concern that the Chinese government can use TikTok’s data for intelligence purposes, like location information and people’s pictures. The U.S. Navy and Army have already banned TikTok.
They’re taking this very seriously.
TikTok pushed back, saying, “TikTok is led by an American CEO . . . we have no higher priority than promoting a safe and secure app experience for our users. We have never provided user data to the Chinese government, nor would we.”
Usain Bolt has revealed the name of his newborn daughter: Olympia Lightning Bolt.
Baby Bolt was born back on May 17th, they decided to finally go public with the name yesterday while celebrating his girl friend’s birthday.
Hershey’s just revealed all the new candies they’re going to roll out for Halloween this year.
And there’s one clear standout: Green Frankenstein Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
The tops of the peanut butter cups will still be the standard brown chocolate, but the bottom half will be bright green. They say they’ll taste the same though.
Hershey’s is also going to sell Vampire Hershey’s Kisses with strawberry filling inside and green Witch’s Brew Kit Kats that taste like marshmallow.
These candies should all be available when stores put out their Halloween candy. In a normal year, that would be, like, tomorrow. This year, it might be a little later.
