The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit reported 7 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. Active cases have dropped from 83 to 66. The last update was on Friday.

Ontario reported 99 cases.

The Canadian Football League has cancelled the 2020 season as part of the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nine-team league had hoped to play a shortened season in the hub city of Winnipeg.

It’ll be the first time the Grey Cup won’t be handed out since 1919.


It was a weird weather weekend in these parts. Sunny, dark and stormy and then back. Weird weather dominated California too.

They had rolling blackouts, freak thunderstorms, a fire-induced tornado, and the record for hottest temperature recorded anywhere on Earth.

Death Valley hit 130 degrees Fahrenheit (54.4 degrees Celsius) on Sunday. The data still has to be confirmed, but if it is, this past Sunday will have been our planet’s hottest reliably recorded day ever. The 130 degrees Fahrenheit reading will be examined by a team of experts to determine its validity.


Nike has created a new anti-sneaker that is meant to be worn at home while relaxing.

The Nike Offline has interchangeable soles including one that provides a massage. The shoes don’t have laces, but rather velcro straps.

The catchphrase of the shoe is ‘just do nothing’.

Nike SNKRS will be released on August 28th.
