One new case of COVID-19 reported by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit Tuesday.

There are now 4 active cases and no one is in hospital locally.

Ontario reported 554 cases across the province. 86% of the new positive cases are in Toronto, Ottawa, York and Peel. 62% of the new cases are in people under the age of 40.


Free COVID-19 testing for people who aren’t showing any symptoms associated with the virus has started at pharmacies across Southwestern Ontario, including Chatham.

As of yesterday, Shoppers Drug Mart at 416 St. Clair St. in Chatham will be booking appointments for asymptomatic individuals only.

For now, there is just the one in Chatham, three in Windsor, and three in London.

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays in game 1 of the American League Wildcard Series 3-1.

Poppy sales will most certainly be effected by the pandemic this year, so the Royal Canadian Legion is offering another way to donate to our veterans.

The Legion is selling face masks this year. Masks are available for $10 online. 37,000 poppy face masks have already been sold.

A man from Pakistan set a new Guinness World Record for the most walnuts getting cracked by the head in one minute.

A TV show in Italy pitted two competitors against each other, and they both topped the previous record of 217. One guy cracked 239 of them, the other guy crushed 254.
