Three new COVID19 cases reported by Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit over the weekend. The first confirmed cases in 13 days.

While there are no confirmed cases in Chatham-Kent schools, some local students  were sent home Monday because of exposure to a probable case of COVID-19. All schools in both boards remain open.

704 reported new cases were reported across the province Wednesday. 80% of the new positive cases are in the hotspots; Toronto, York, Peel and Ottawa.


The COVID-19 travel restrictions in place at the Canada-U.S. land border will remain in effect until November 21st at least.

The current agreement on the U.S.-Canada border closure to non-essential travel was first imposed in March and has been renewed every month since.


Today is Tampon Tuesday.

Feminine hygiene products are one of the most requested, yet least donated items at food banks.

But there’s a Blockbuster in Owen Sound that shut down in 2011 but still looks just like a Blockbuster, it has the classic sign, the blue and yellow awnings, and everything.

So now there’s a petition going around to preserve it forever as a museum. It has more than 1,800 signatures so far.

“This historic building could provide some much needed tourism and economic growth to the area for Owen Sound and all of Grey Bruce. I know I stop in and reminisce from time to time.”
