We heard yesterday that Tim Horton’s is doing away with double-cupping coffees next month, now they’re working on a customer option that would allow you to pay a deposit and receive your order in reusable, returnable cups and food packaging.

Once the you’re done they could return the cups and other containers to a participating restaurant and have their deposit refunded. Tim Hortons says the cups and food containers would then be cleaned, sanitized and used again.

The test program is expected to start next year at select Toronto restaurants.

Tim’s had planned to give away nearly two million reusable cups earlier in the eyar but had to pause the plan due to the pandemic.

Scientists in Germany set a new record for the shortest unit of time ever measured: 247 zeptoseconds.

While it’s not completely unusual to see warmer temperatures late into October, it’s not something we’re used to.

Today’s daytime high is 22, and with the humidex it could feel like 27. There is a chance of showers or a thunderstorm later this afternoon.

Typically the average high for end of October is close to 12 degrees, and that’s on a good day. This October we have had mainly above seasonal temperatures, but that trend seems to be coming to an end after today. Long range forecasts are saying single digit highs to finish off the month.
