The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance‘s assessment centre changes locations today.
It’s now located at the St. Clair College Healthplex. You can book an appointment at assessementbooking.ca.
A mobile clinic will be held today by the health alliance and Chatham-Kent EMS in the HealthPlex parking lot to accommodate booked appointments and walk-in testing while the centre is being moved.
Make sure to bring a valid Health Card.
In case you missed it, on Friday, the Ontario government announced starting Tuesday, all testing will be done by appointment only except for at mobile or pop-up testing centres.
The move is being made to allow assessment centres to conduct enhanced screening and ensure people are not standing outside in the cold during the fall and winter.
Again, you can book an appointment locally at assessementbooking.ca.
The Green Party of Canada has a new leader, Toronto’s Annamie Paul.
Paul succeeds Elizabeth May, who stepped down last fall after leading the party for 13 years.
Paul, who is Black and Jewish, declared herself the descendant of slaves and an ally of those, such as Indigenous people, who are fighting for justice.
What does COVID mean for mall Santas this year?
Many malls across the country are offering virtual connections to the man in red, while others will still have the traditional set up, with some restrictions. Children won’t be able to sit on Santa’s knee. Photographers will take pictures from a perspective that makes it look like they aren’t two metres apart.
It is 2020, so it only makes sense that Halloween features the first full moon across time zones since 1944.
This year, October has two full moons. Last week we had the Harvest Moon. This normally occurs in September but edged into October this year.
The second full moon in any given month is known as the Blue Moon. This year’s is particularly unusual as it is the first full moon to occur across all time zones since 1944, and it falls on October 31st. The next one to occur will be in 2039, followed by 2058 and 2077.
