Two new positive cases of COVID-19 reported by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit Monday.
A woman in her 80’s passed away over the weekend, Chatham-Kent’s third COVID related death. There are currently 4 active cases.
Ontario reported 615 cases across the province. 74% of the new positive cases are in Toronto, Ottawa and Peel.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance‘s assessment centre will open today at the new location, the St. Clair College Healthplex.
Under new provincial orders starting today, booked appointments are required to receive a test and walk-in testing will no longer be offered.

U.S. President Donald Trump left the hospital yesterday, and when he returned to the White House, he advised America not to be afraid of COVID-19.
He said “you’re going to beat it,” and that a vaccine is “coming momentarily.”

The Beer Store is launching a pilot program to offer free delivery to seniors in select communities.
Anyone aged 60+ will be eligible for free home delivery each Wednesday from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
This pilot program is rolling out in the Oshawa and Brampton areas.
For the first time in 3,000 years the Tasmanian devil is back in the Australian wild.
The animals disappeared from the wild most likely because of overhunting and the introduction of the dingo to the ecosystem.
