November 13th is the 318th day of the year. There are 48 days remaining until the end of the year.

Ontario is reporting 1,575 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, breaking another single-day record for the third day in a row. The hot spots yesterday for new cases were Toronto, Peel, Toronto and Ottawa.

Locally the C-K Public Health Unit reported 5 new cases.

There are now 28 active cases.

It’s one week until The Gift.

Next Saturday at noon, November 21st, volunteers will fan out across Chatham-Kent to collect toys, food and cash donations.

The goal is to help families in need this holiday season.

For more information or to volunteer go to TheGiftCK.com.

It’s Friday the 13th.

Considered the most unlucky day on the calendar in Western society. In Italy, Friday the 17th is considered a day of bad luck.

Friday the 13th happens at least once every year but can’t occur any more than three times in the same year. A Friday the 13th occurs during any month that begins on a Sunday.

Usually in Ontario, motorcyclists head to Port Dover to celebrate.

There will only be one Friday the 13th in 2021 in August.

Pokemon Go has been thriving during the pandemic. They have made a billion dollars from in-game transactions so far this year. And there are still two months to go.

Since the game launched in 2016, players have spent $4.2 billion on in-game content, but this is the first year it’s topped the $1 billion mark.

Last year, Pokemon Go made $950 million.

Hostess just came out with a new “party size” Twinkie baking kit.

It lets you bake a giant, two-pound Twinkie that should serve at least eight people.

If you’re interested, the kit is on sale at Walmart for $15. And it even comes with the custom baking pan you need to make it.
