A 3D printed house is for sale in New York.
The Riverhead, New York, home is listed online with an asking price of $299,999.
The company can set up its Autonomous Robotic Construction System that lays concrete layer by layer, creating footing, the foundation of a house and the interior and exterior walls of the structure. The cost of construction is 50% cheaper than the cost of comparable newly-constructed homes and 10 times faster.
The 3D printed house will include 1,407 square feet of living space and will be built with concrete. The home has three bedrooms, two baths and a 2.5-car detached garage.
The home is the first 3D printed home to receive a certificate of occupancy in the United States.
Last week on the 5 Things You Need to Know we told you how you could pay to have a cockroach named after your ex on Valentine’s Day.
Here’s another one…The Humane Society in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is offering a service this year where for a donation of at least $5, they’ll write your ex’s name on the bottom of a kitty litter box and on Valentine’s Day, cats will literally do their business on the name. They’ve named the fundraiser, Crappy Ex.
They say they’ve already had, “quite a few” names submitted.
