The Chatham-Kent Vaccination Clinic is opening appointments for new priority groups.

1) Indigenous residents & their household members aged 16+
2) Adult recipients of chronic home care (who can attend Bradley Centre)
3) Residents turning 80 in 2021 (born in 1941 or before)
4) Spouses of residents 80+
5) High Priority” health care workers
These are in addition to the previous eligible groups.

Please call 519-351-1010 and leave a message. Public Health staff will be returning your messages from 8:30-8:30 to book appointments for this week.


Big jump in positive COVID19 cases from the weekend reported by Chatham-Kent Public Health.

There were 18 new cases, 5 resolved. The current active number sits at 25 – up 13 from Friday’s update.

Ontario has reported 1,631 positive cases. That’s the largest daily increase the province has seen since February 5th. The province says the latest updated case count is higher than expected, due to a data catch-up process related to the provincial system.


Chatham-Kent OPP has issued an ice warning.

There was an incident over the weekend involving two adults and a child on the ice south of Mitchell’s Bay.

With the warmer temperatures, the OPP is warning everyone that the ice is unstable. Police are asking that everyone stay off the ice.


On International Women’s Day, the Toronto Raptors announced they will have women in every on-air role for a game later this month.

Meghan McPeak will have the play-by-play and national women’s team star Kia Nurse will handle the analysis, Kayla Grey will handle sideline duties, while Kate Beirness and Amy Audibert will host and provide analysis.

The crew will handle the duties for the Wednesday, March 24th game vs the Denver Nuggets on TSN.


The CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey is selling the first-ever published tweet.

The Tweet above was posted on March 21, 2006.

Dorsey shared a tweet with a link to a digital platform called Valuables, that allows for the buying and selling of tweets autographed by their creators.

So far, the tweet has reached a bid of $2.5 million by Sina Estavi, CEO of Bridge Oracle.
