Six new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.
There were 3 recoveries, the total active cases is 35.
The province reported just 1,616 new cases on Tuesday, which is the lowest the daily count has been since March 24th. There were 17 deaths, bringing the provincial total over 25,000.
The investors for the former Navistar property were introduced on Tuesday.
Rob Myers, Don Tetrault and Mike Vagi say they spent two years negotiating with Navistar and closed on the deal just 10 days ago. Work has already begun on the 82-acre site.
The plan is to parcel it off into pieces and attract commercial or industrial businesses to Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff and Don Tetrault will join CKMORNINGS at 7:40 to talk.
The Detroit Tigers are not a good baseball team, but fans did have something to cheer for last night.
Pitcher Spencer Turnbull threw a no-hitter last night against the Mariners in Seattle. He’s the first Tiger to do it since Justin Verlander in 2011.
It’s a big turn around from his MLB-worst record in 2019, when he lost 17 games.

The Beer Store says 75 of its stores will be open from 11 am until 6 pm across the province on the holiday Monday this year.
The only local Beer Store open will be on Richmond St., Chatham 11-6.
All LCBO stores will be closed. Some LCBO Convenience Outlets may open for their regular hours of business on Victoria Day.
The pandemic forced the cancellation or rescheduling of a lot of events — including the World Beard and Mustache Championships.
The last one was held in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2019 and organizers have announced that the next one will be February 25, 2023 in Aukland, New Zealand.
