Twitter Blue is coming to Canada and Australia this week.
For a monthly fee, users can access special features that Twitter claims will take the platform experience to “the next level.”
The “undo tweet” function allows users to preview a tweet and set a timer that lasts up to 30 seconds before it actually posts so they get one more chance to correct or rethink it. Another feature is bookmark folders, which help users organize saved tweets. Twitter Blue subscribers also get reader mode, which converts long Twitter threads into consolidated text for easier reading.
Other Twitter Blue features include the ability to change the colour of the Twitter app icon and the look inside the app. Subscribers also have access to a dedicated customer support team.
Since it was released 15 years ago, Twitter’s always been free. Making their money from advertising.
Twitter Blue will cost $3.49 per month.
NASA plans on sending two missions to Venus by 2030.
Last year, NASA awarded four teams $3 million each to develop potential missions the space agency could expand into full-fledged expeditions. They have now decided to move forward with two of those projects.
The first of those is called the Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gases, Chemistry and Imaging, or DAVINCI+ for short. The craft will travel to Venus to snap high-resolution photos of the planet’s surface and its unique geological features.
The second mission, VERITAS or Venus Emissivity, Radio Science, InSAR, Topography, and Spectroscopy, will travel to the planet to create detailed, three-dimensional maps of its surface using special radar. It will also track infrared emissions from the surface to map the makeup of its rocks, which is something scientists don’t know a lot about.
