No new positive COVID-19 case reported Tuesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.
2 case was resolved and one was removed from the original total. The total active case count locally is at 4.
There were 164 positive cases reported across Ontario on Tuesday as well as nine additional deaths. Fewer than 200 new COVID-19 cases were reported for the second straight day.
A spur-of-the-moment decision paid off for a Chatham man who won $1 million in the June 8 Lotto Max draw.
Dwayne Willder, a food industry worker, told OLG officials when claiming his prize in Toronto that he decided to purchase an extra $10 worth of tickets on a whim. That notion was what led him to win one of the Maxmillions draws worth $1 million.
The winning ticket was purchased at Charlie’s Variety Store on Park Avenue in Chatham.
Walk-in clinics will be held this week and next for young people in Chatham-Kent who want their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. No appointments will be necessary for 12- to 17-year-olds or those over 18 who have not yet received their first dose of a vaccine at the clinics at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

- Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
Next week:
- Wednesday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
- Thursday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be given. This is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada for 12- to 17-year-olds.
A pop-up clinic will be held Tuesday, July 13, at Blenheim Memorial Arena from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Appointments are required.
The indoor clinic is open to everyone 18 and older. The Moderna vaccine will be administered.

This little elbow-shaped pasta is such a fan-favourite, and one of the most common forms of pasta. So on this day, let’s all come together to show our love for the humble and versatile macaroni.
The origins of pasta, and macaroni, are not very clear. Records indicate pasta might have originated in China, instead of in Italy as is commonly believed.
National Mac and Cheese Day is celebrated on July 14 each year.
