The Chatham Concert Band hosts another Concert in the Park in Tecumseh Park tonight.

Concerts are free, bring your lawn chair and enjoy.

The Chatham Concert Band was formed in 1927 and has been playing consecutively for over 90 seasons.

Just two new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.

There were no recoveries, the total active case count locally is at 29.

There are 348 new cases of COVID-19 across the province. 203 cases are in unvaccinated individuals and 49 in partially vaccinated individuals. It’s the first time since August 12th that Ontario’s daily cases have dropped below 500.


Chatham-Kent Public Health are hosting a walk in clinic at the Merlin Library today from 10-4.

Anyone 12 and older is welcome at the clinic.

There’s a mobile clinic tomorrow in Blenheim at Talbot Trail Place Park 3-8 and on Saturday a clinic at Wallaceburg District Secondary School from 10-3.

If you’re hoping to catch a Leafs or Raptors game this fall, you’ll need proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to enter the venues.

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment says this will apply to all guests, employees and event staff.

The arena and stadiums include Scotiabank Arena, BMO field and Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.


The man who invented the Sudoku puzzle, Maki Kaji, died. He was 69.

Known as the “Godfather of Sudoku,” Kaji created the puzzle to be easy for children and others who didn’t want to think too hard. Maki traveled to more than 30 countries spreading his enjoyment of puzzles. Sudoku championships have drawn some 200 million people in 100 countries over the years.

Kaji was chief executive at his puzzle company, Nikoli Co., until July and died August 10th at his home in the Tokyo area.
