The U.S. has announced plans to reopen land border crossings to fully vaccinated travellers next month.

While proof of vaccination will be required, the Center for Disease Control will have to announce further details on if that includes Canadians who received mixed doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as well as an Astra-Zeneca vaccine. More information is expected early this morning.

Canadians have been barred from travelling to the U.S. by land since the pandemic started in March 2020, other than for essential reasons.


There were 28 new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.

There were 50 resolved cases, the total active case count locally is at 72. There was another death locally, bringing the total to 21 overall.

There are 390 new cases of COVID-19 across the province, 260 (67%) cases are in individuals not fully vaccinated. The case count is the lowest the province has seen since August 17th.

The Toronto Maple Leafs season begins tonight against the team that booted them from the playoffs last year, the Montreal Canadiens.

The puck will drop tonight at 7 on Sportsnet.

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment updated their COVID protocols on Tuesday; Fans will have to show full proof of vaccination to get into the arena as per provincial rules and the security screening at the arena will now be contactless. If you’re going to a game, they suggest arriving early. Masks will be required inside the arena unless individuals are actively eating or drinking. MLSE says strict enforcement will be in place ensuring people follow the masking rules.

When the puck drops, it will have been 581 days since the Leafs have skated in front of a full capacity home crowd.


Lego’s has released details on their largest model yet, a 9,090-piece Titanic set.

The details on the set are stunning. It divides into three sections, allowing you to showcase its intricate interiors, including the grand staircase and boiler room. The exteriors feature the promenade deck and swimming pool. The working model has working propellers, you can see the piston engines turn inside, raise the anchor and adjust the tension line between masts. It measures in at 54 inches long.

Before this set, the Colosseum set held the title for largest ever, but Titanic just beats it by 54 pieces.

The Lego Titanic set will be officially available on November 8th, but you can preorder it beginning the week before on the Lego website for $629.99.
