Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site has a free virtual tour coming up on February 21st!
The free 60-minute live tour of Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site brings the history of the Underground Railroad to life. The live-streaming experience incorporates a tour of the museum and two-hectare (five-acre) property, including the Interpretive Centre, three historical buildings – including the Josiah Henson House – a sawmill, two cemeteries and numerous artifacts that have been preserved as a legacy to those freedom seekers.
A brief question-and-answer session will follow each tour.
Medal count continues to rise for Canada at the Winter Olympics.
The red & white won 4 medals on Day 6. No medals so far on Day 7.
The women’s hockey team will play Sweden in the quarterfinals this morning at 8:10.
Canada now has 12 medals; 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze – good for 12th overall.
Super Bowl LVI (56) will kick off on Sunday at 6:30 on NBC, CTV and TSN.
The Cincinnati Bengals will play the L.A. Rams. Cincinnati has made the Super Bowl twice before, but has never won. The Rams franchise won in 2000.
Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Eminem will be the halftime entertainment.
If you’re an aviation fan you can now get up close to aircraft coming and going from London International Airport.
The airport is opening the city’s first public plane spotting park. Residents can get a front row seat in their vehicles to runway 15-33, the most used take off and landing strip at the airport. There’s also signage to inform visitors on the types of planes that use the airport.
There is no charge to use the YXU Air Park.
