Tom Brady has officially announced his retirement from NFL.
Brady made the announcement on Instagram, ending a few days of speculation about weather or not he would continue his playing career.
Brady won seven Super Bowls; 6 with the New England Patriots, 1 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He leaves the sport with the most passing yards (84,520) and TDs (624). He’s the only player to win more than five Super Bowls and was MVP of the game five times.
The 44-year-old quarterback plans to spend more time with his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and three children.
It’s Groundhog Day.
Legend has it that if the groundhog sees his shadow, Winter will last six more weeks. If he doesn’t see his shadow, an early Spring.
Crowds will not be gathering in Wiarton for Ontario’s prognosticating rodent Wiarton Willie’s prediction. Due to the pandemic, the prediction will be made virtually once again on the town’s YouTube page.
This is the 66th year Willie will be making a prediction. Well, someone that looks like Willie anyways. Willie died of a tooth abscess prior to the 2021 prediction. The Mayor used a fur hat last year, but it wasn’t confirmed until November that Willie had infact passed. Usually the prognosticating ground hog is an albino, but those are hard to come by, so a standard brown groundhog will answer the call this morning.
The Wiarton Willie prediction will be made at 8:07am.
