Environment Canada has issued a Winter weather travel advisory for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex and Leamington.

Snow with accumulations of about 5cm should blow into the area tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.

The Bradley Centre Vaccination clinic is now closed. There will be a mobile clinic at the WISH Centre on Saturday 9-4. The new location for the vaccination centre will reopen on Thursday, March 3rd at 730 Richmond Street (Former YA Canada Building) 9-4.

The clinics are accepting walk-ins for all eligible residents who are looking to receive their first, second, or booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is revoked the Emergencies Act Wednesday afternoon.

It was put in place 10 days prior to assist police crack down and clear out hundreds of demonstrators who tied up the nation’s capital for three weeks.

Trudeau said the government was confident that the existing laws and bylaws were now sufficient to keep Canadians safe.

The Ontario government also announced Wednesday that it was lifting the state of emergency that was declared amid the convoy protests.

The state of emergency was terminated as of 5pm yesterday.


Gas will be going up one cent per litre for most areas in the province today. Some areas could jump 2 cents.

Sudbury will be most expensive in Ontario at 170.9 cents per litre after a 4 cent hike this morning.

The average in Chatham this morning you’re paying about 144.7 cents per litre, with prices jumping as much as 10 cents per litre in Wallaceburg, Tilbury and Blenheim.
