Canadian officials confirm fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada won’t need a COVID-19 test before crossing the border into Canada.
The change will come into effect April 1.
For unvaccinated or partially vaccinated tavellers, they will still get a molecular test on arrival and have to quarantine for 14 days. They will also have to take another test eight days after the first one.
Everyone still has to fill out ArriveCAN on-line or through the app before crossing the border.
Dog owners have until March 31 to get their 2022 municipal dog tag.
Tags must be purchased by March 31 and you can buy your dog tag online, at the animal shelter in Chatham, or at any municipal office.
The cost is $28 for a dog that is spayed or neutered and $38 if they’re not. Plus, there is a $10 late fee if you wait until April.
Residents who choose not to purchase a tag this year are at risk of a $240 fine. If you no longer own a dog or you have moved, you can call 311 or 519-360-1998 to have your dog licence account inactivated or updated.
The Chatham-Kent Vaccination clinic is open Saturday for all eligible residents who are looking to receive their first, second, or booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

A guy in Seattle protested his low pay by moving into his cubicle to save on rent. A 28-year-old guy in Seattle named Simon Jackson was working at a design and engineering firm, and wasn’t making enough to cover rent.
He posted a TikTok (he goes by calm.simon) video called “Check out my new apartment” that shows him moving all his clothes and belongings into the cubicle while no one’s there. He ended up putting a sleeping bag under his desk.
Someone from H.R. eventually caught wind. After four days, they told him to clear everything out and delete the videos he posted online, or they’d fire him. So he quit instead.
It might work out though, because his side-hustle is designing and selling rompers for adults. And he got a lot of potential customers out of this. His first video has over 1.4 million views. Last we checked, he was up to 135,000 TikTok followers.
