Every Tuesday the Chatham branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library.

Movies start at 2pm. Book your spot now to see Antlers.

Everyone is welcome for a suggested donation of $2 at the door.

Prices at the pumps expected to jump 5 cents/litre on Wednesday. The provincial average will be about 175.9 cents/litre.


The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is hosting three public information sessions for special event organizers to get details on how to apply for a permit.

At the public information meetings, officials said event organizers will be able to meet with staff, get paper copies of the special event application, and learn where they can find electronic versions for download and printing purposes. A presentation on the application process will also be given and a question and answer session will be held.

The public information meetings begin next week:

  • March 29 from 7-9 p.m. at the Thames Campus Arena in the Red Line Room
  • March 30 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Blenheim Arena in the Blue Line Room
  • March 31 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena in the Jack Backus Mezzanine Room

The Wheatley Omstead Sharks are the only C-K team to make it through the first round of the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs.

The fifth-seeded Sharks will play the top seeded Lakeshore Canadiens.

Canada’s Wonderland released some info about the upcoming season at the park.

The season will Saturday, April 30th.

  • Reservations are not required for any guest.
  • Proof of vaccination is not required to visit the park, though we will continue to ask guests to self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Guests are welcome, but not required, to wear face coverings.
  • Wonderland is now cashless and will only accept contactless payment methods.
