Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex and most of Southwestern Ontario.
Rain and cold temperatures have resulted in freezing rain this morning. The region could also see some snow this morning.
Drivers are advised to reduce their speed and leave extra space between their vehicle and others around it.
Any ice accumulation from the freezing rain should melt by Wednesday afternoon when the temperature is expected to rise to 10C.
The second public information session for special event organizers in the municipality is tonight in Blenheim.
These sessions are for special event organizers to get details on how to apply for a permit and other applications related to hosting an event. Municipal staff will be available to answer any questions.
The public information sessions continue tomorrow from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena in the Jack Backus Mezzanine Room.
The province announced on Tuesday that speed limits of 110 kilometres per hour on six sections of provincial highways are here to stay.
Highway 401 from Windsor to Tilbury along with Highway 402 from London to Sarnia, Queen Elizabeth Way from Hamilton to St. Catharines, Highway 417 from Ottawa to the Quebec border and Highway 404 from Newmarket to Woodbine would now have a max speed of 110km/h.
Six other provinces have speed limits of over 100 kilometres an hour on certain highways.
