After a very mild weekend in Chatham-Kent, there’s a freezing rain warning for the region this morning.
Environment Canada is calling for patchy freezing rain to begin early this morning. The freezing rain is expected to transition to rain then eventually to snow, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle, this afternoon.
Construction is set to start back up on the Third Street Bridge in Chatham this morning. That will result in some more road closures.
Thames Street/St. Clair Street will be closed between Dover Street/Emma Street and Kent Street starting this morning at 7am.
The municipality is anticipating that the bridge project will now be completed at the end of June 2022.
There’s a blood donor clinic tomorrow at the Chatham-Kent YMCA.
No walk-in appointments are available, although day of appointments do become available.

The clinic is open 1-7pm.
Experts are saying gas prices are expected to hold for Monday and Tuesday, and if there are any changes, expect to see them on Wednesday.
The previous record high at the pumps in Ontario was $1.61 per litre before this week.
The price of gasoline has already topped $2 a litre in British Columbia.
