The Municipality of Chatham-Kent and Waste Connections of Canada Ridge Landfill will host the first household hazardous waste day of the year.
Today’s drop off will be from 8-1pm.
There will be one event per month until November. The drop off is at one central location, Veolia Environmental, at 141 Prosperity Way near Chatham.
Household hazardous waste days:
- Tuesday, April 12, 8am – 1pm
- Saturday, May 14, 8am – 3pm
- Tuesday, June 14, 8am – 1pm
- Tuesday, July 12, 8am – 1pm
- Tuesday, August 9, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Saturday, September 10, 8am – 3pm
- Tuesday, October 11, 8am – 1pm
- Tuesday, November 8, 8am – 1pm
Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous material at no charge. A list of acceptable material can found here.
The Chatham branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library.
Movies start at 2pm. Book your spot now to see Amelie.

Community Living Chatham-Kent is hosting the Box Lunch fundraiser again this year.
This years event is May 12th.

The order deadline us Tuesday, May 3rd at noon.
There’s a blood donor clinic this afternoon at the Chatham-Kent YMCA.
No walk-in appointments are available, although day of appointments do become available.

The clinic is open 1-7pm.
No Lotto Max winner Friday night, so that means the jackpot jumps for tonight’s draw.
The grand prize is now $50 million.
Since the Lotto Max jackpot has reached $50 million now, that means there will also be Maxmillions, and two prizes worth $1 million each will be up for grabs.
Tickets are available online or in store until 10:30pm on draw nights.
