On Wednesday, United Industries, Inc. announced it’s opening a new manufacturing plant in Tilbury. They make precision engineered stainless steel tubing.
The company will move into the old Woodbridge Foam factory at 189 Queen Street N. this month. The factory has been empty for several years. Manufacturing will begin immediately after the factory is ready. Once the factory is fully operational, it will generate as many as 100 local jobs.
The family-owned United Industries was founded in 1936 and is headquartered in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The Blenheim Rotary Club presents Summer Concerts in the Park.
Thursdays from 7-8:30 bring a lawn chair and enjoy some music at Talbot Trail Place.
This week it’s Toast and Jam on the stage.
Next Thursday will be the final concert of the Summer.
The NFL season begins tonight.
The Buffalo Bills face the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams at home. Many are saying this could be an early preview of Super Bowl LVII.

The Detroit Lions will open their season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 1pm at Ford Field.
RM Classic Cars will host it’s final Cars & Coffee this Saturday.
Cruise on in to RM (One Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, Ontario) for a morning of all things automotive from 8–11am.
Cars & Coffee is rain or shine, with coffee & donuts for the first 250 guests.
The event is a chance for enthusiasts to get to know the RM Auto Restoration team and get a glimpse inside the shop that helped dub Chatham-Kent ‘Canada’s Classic Car Capital’.

It’s the end of an era at Cedar Point amusement park, Top Thrill Dragster is being retired.
The park announced this week that after 19 seasons, its fastest and tallest roller coaster is done. They’re working to create a new ride experience.
Top Thrill Dragster took riders 420 feet high at speeds of up to 120-miles-an hour. For two years, it held the title as the world’s tallest rollercoaster until the Kingda Ka coaster opened in New Jersey. It is 139 metres tall and holds the record to this day.
The ride has been closed for the entire 2022 season. Last year a woman was injured when a small piece of metal flew off the ride and struck her in the head. It’s been closed since.
