Don’t be alarmed if you hear any fireworks in Chatham-Kent tonight.

The local Hindu community is celebrating the Diwali holiday. Diwali is the five-day Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions across the world.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent recently changed its bylaw to allow Diwali fireworks. There isn’t anything officially organized by the Chatham-Kent Hindu community for tonight, but individuals may celebrate in the comfort of their own homes.


The 2022 World Series will be the Houston Astros vs Philadelphia Phillies.

On Sunday the Astros beat the Yankees and the Phillies got by the Padres to move on. It was the first time both pennants were decided on the same day since 1992.

The Phillies are managed by Rob Thomson of Corunna. The 59-year-old is the first Canadian-born manager to lead an MLB team to the post-season.

Houston opens the World Series at home Friday night against Philadelphia. Houston lost last years World Series to the Atlanta Braves.


A Lotto Max ticket holder in Calgary is $70 million dollars richer.

Their numbers came up on Friday night. There were 20 draws since it was last won, the longest ever run for Lotto Max. The previous record was 16 draws.

The next Lotto Max draw is tomorrow night for only$50 Million and just2 MAXMILLIONS prizes. Tickets are available online or in store until 10:30pm on draw nights.


The 2022 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have announced their finalists.

Forty images make up the final shortlist for the competition, which received more than 7,000 entries from around the world. They include a standoffish penguin, a horrified monkey and a farting zebra.

The awards were founded in 2015 by photographers who wanted to promote wildlife conservation through humour.

Voting will close on 27th November and the 2022 Winners of all the categories and the Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year will be announced on December 8th.
