The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Last Call at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas this afternoon.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Director, Gavin Michael Booth, is from the Windsor area and will be joining for a Q&A discussion following both screenings of the film.

The C-K Film Group screens independant films the first Monday of the month at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.

The next film screening will be held on Monday, November 7th.

If you’re unable to donate this week, there are clinics in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Tilbury this month.


Chatham-Kent residents should have received their voter cards in the mail last week.

Online voting for the municipal election begins today at 10am. Your voter card contains your elector’s name and address and can be used to vote online.

Go here to vote online.

If you did not receive a voter card, visit the closest municipal centre.

Advanced polls will open between October 13-15th. Election day is October 24th.


The Toronto Blue Jays have secured a spot in the postseason.

With three games remaining still the Jays have clinched an American League Wild Card spot.

The Jays are in Baltimore for three more games to wrap up the season, and these games mean something. Toronto wants home field advantage in the playoffs. They’ll play either Tampa or Seattle. Whomever they play, the series will begin on Friday.

Toronto missed the playoffs last season by one game, they were swept by the Rays in the wild-card series in 2020. It was the Blue Jays’ first playoff appearance since 2016. Toronto won World Series titles in 1992 and 1993.


McDonald’s is going to start selling adult happy meals today; And yes, you get a toy. But only in the U.S. only.

There are two types: One with a Big Mac, fries, and a drink, and one with a 10-piece McNugget. For the toys, they partnered with afashion brand called Cactus Plant Flea Market. You get one of four figurines of the Hamburglar, Grimace, Birdie, and a weird new one named “Cactus Buddy”.

They’re marketing them as Happy Meals for adults, but they’re technically called “Cactus Plant Flea Market Meal Boxes”. They’ll hit participating locations on Monday and be available for the month.
