Final weekend for the farmers markets in Wallaceburg and Ridgetown this weekend.
The Wallaceburg Farmers Market is open 8am-noon in the municipal parking lot on James St.
Ridgetown wraps up their season with a Farmers Market Saturday 8-noon. The market is held on Main St.
The Toronto Blue Jays will play the Seattle Mariners in the MLB Wild Card Series.
The Jays will host all three games at the Rogers Centre in a best-of-three, starting on Friday. It’ll be the first playoff game in Canada since 2016.
The Mariners went 5-2 vs. the Blue Jays this season.
The winner will advance to play the top-seeded Houston Astros in the best-of-five AL Division Series starting October 11th.
Gas prices are expected to jump up 10 cents per litre across the province, making the average price 162.9.
Locally prices in Chatham this morning (as of 5:30am) are averaging 138.9 cents per litre in Chatham. 144 in Wallaceburg, 152 in Blenheim and 141 in Tilbury.
Experts are calling it one of the biggest single-day jumps Ontario has seen over the last decade.
Today is World Teachers’ Day.
