Got a pumpkin that’s got to go? Don’t throw it out, recycle it!

Come out and feed your Halloween pumpkins to the goats Saturday 11-4pm.

Farm owner Emily talked to CKMORNINGS earlier this week:

Another chance to be a billionaire in Saturday’sPowerball draw.

The jackpot is worth 1.5 billion. The jackpot is the second-largest prize in Powerball’s 30-year history.

If one ticket wins and the holder chooses a lump-sum option, the ticket would yield a one-time payment of an estimated $745.9 million. An annuity option would spread 30 payments across 29 years.

There are no restrictions that prohibit Canadians from playing the Powerball lottery. Tickets can be bought online.

Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend as we fall back an hour; officially at 2am Sunday morning.

There has been talk from some of the provinces about doing away with daylight saving altogether, but it largely depends on what the U.S. decides to do.

In Ontario, the province has agreed to make the change if New York and Quebec also agree to do so.

The C-K Fire Department reminds us that we should use the end of daylight saving time to change the batteries in our smoke alarms.
