Gas prices are expected to go up to 142.9 cents per litre across the province today.

That’s after yesterdays 1 cent per litre increase. Experts are predicting prices will rise 10 cents per litre from where they were at the beginning of the month.

Locally, as of 5:30am: Chatham is at 140.3, Wallaceburg 138.3, Blenheim 142.9 and Tilbury at 135.6.

With the way prices are going, the Zellers motto “Where the lowest price is the law” sounds pretty good right about now.

Hudson’s Bay Co. announced the comeback of Zellers last summer promising online shopping and a nationwide network of brick-and-mortar Zellers stores at Hudson Bay locations.

At its peak in the late 90’s, there were about 350 Zellers stores across the country. So far, no specific location details have been revealed yet, but Zellers has recently began teasing an early 2023 return with a series of social media posts with vague hints like “Coming Soon” and “We’re Stocking Up.”
