The Detroit Lions were eliminated from the NFL playoffs before they even hit the field Sunday.

The Lions needed some help on the final day of the season, a Seattle Seahawks loss and their own win would have opened the door for the playoffs. Seattle won in overtime, sealing the Lions fate.

With nothing left to play for but to spoil Green Bay’s season, they beat a Packers team that just needed a win to clinch a playoff berth. Detroit finished the season 9-8.

The last time the Detroit Lions made the NFL Playoffs was following the 2016 season. The last playoff win was in 1991. Gulp!

As of last week, tolls will cost you more next time you cross into the U.S. or back into Canada at either the Ambassador Bridge or the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.

The toll for a passenger vehicle on the bridge going from Canada into the United States went up to $9.25. That’s up from a previous rate of $8 Canadian. Paying in U.S. dollars, the rate from the U.S. to Canada is now $7 US, up from a previous toll of $6 US.

Tolls are also up on the Canadian side of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel. The toll rate increased 25 cents on January 1st. The current posted toll rate is $6.75 for all methods of payment.

Thousands of staff and students are headed back to school today.

That means more traffic and buses are back on the roads. Drive safe.

Spring Break is March 13-17 and the last day of school is scheduled for June 29th.
